Unguided visit. Recommended duration 45 minutes.  You’ll find out about the Queen’s life, her relationship with the town of Medina, the Third Voyage of Christopher Columbus, and Isabella’s last wishes. Open from Monday to Sunday.
Opening times: Tuesday to Saturday from 10.00 am to 2.00 pm and 4.00 pm to 7.00 pm. Reservations not required. – Sunday, Monday and public holidays from 11.00 am to 2.30 pm.
CASTILLO DE LA MOTA
The guided tour of the castle includes a visit to the Iron Age sites, the remains of medieval walls and the façade, the underground galleries, the bailey and the chapel. This tour lasts approximately one hour. Maximum 30 people per group, minimum 5 people. Prior reservation obligatory to ensure a place in the castle.

Dramatised tour around historical Medina: "WHAT THE TOWN HIDES":

This tour covers the Royal Testamentary Palace, the San Julian courtyard, the first floor of the Colegiata de San Antolin tower, the courtyard of the Palacio de los Dueñas, and the Reales Carnicerías. Maximum 25 people per group. These tours take place on certain weekends of the month. Prior reservation.
Synopsis: Medina del Campo, 1567. A group of travellers arrive in the town to enjoy the fairs and discover why this is one of the most prosperous cities in sixteenth-century Castile. During their stay, they’ll find themselves involved in the plot of a book forbidden by the Spanish Inquisition. On their tour around the town, travellers will encounter interesting characters who, for very different reasons, are related to that book and who will reveal some of their most emblematic places in Medina del Campo, such as the Royal Testamentary Palace, the Colegiata de San Antolín, the Palacio de los Dueñas and the Reales Carnicerías.

Duration: 75 minutes.
Prices: €9.50/adults and €7.00/children for tickets bought directly at the Royal Testamentary Palace.

Dramatised visit to the castle keeo tower "A stopover en route"

Includes dramatised visit to the Hall of Honour, the upper floors of the keep tower and the vantage point.
Synopsis: Medina del Campo, 1522. The ‘town of fairs’ has recovered from the fire that devastated it, a result of the Revolt of the Comuneros, the last redoubt of which was obliterated in February this year. It is the season of fairs. A group of “foreign” traders invited by the commander of the castle arrive at the fortress, where they will be residing during their stay in the town of Medina. The commander, Gómez de Haro, is outside the castle right now and much of his staff is busy with the hustle-and-bustle of the fair days in the town. Rodrigo de Lerma, deputy commander of the castle, and Beatriz Almazara, daughter of the commander, have been charged with receiving this group of guests. Along the route, these “foreigners” will discover the history of the most important building in the town.
These tours take place on certain weekends of the month. Prior reservation.

This tour lasts around 45 minutes if only including the keep tower, with an extra 60 minutes for the guided tour of the castle, and a further 40 minutes to visit the Palace (please note: you must make your own way between the palace and the castle).
